I have written here about how the spear is my worst weapon, and it's not even close. I have a lot of great runs, but I just can't finish. Soon after that, I got a victory with it. The final boss was not fun, as I was dependent on hits from my special attack with Doom on it.
Today, I was having another great run with the spear. Everything was coming together. I even got Serrated Point for the first time ever. I thought that the 25% dash loss would not be significant. I even took a third dash from Hermes to compensate.
Enter the final boss...
I went in with all three Death Defiance. It was looking really good. I could stack up the damage with Hangover on my attack. Unfortunately, I soon found out that I couldn't dash out in time to avoid the bosses' wide swings. I still thought that I could survive, if I only took a few of those hits...
However, they just kept coming. No matter if I saw them coming or not, which was more often than not, the dash was so bad that I couldn't get away. I got killed very early in the second phase. All Death Defiance depleted.
I even passed up on a Titan's Blood in Charon's shop, in order to better be prepared for the fight. I was stacked. There was also a fishing point on the last stage that I was greatly looking forward to. So I lost out on two Bloods and whatever great thing the fish traded in for. Not to mention, another clear..
Anyways, anyone else have trouble compensating when losing dash length for Serrated Edge/Point?
