I had Cast on it for 40 days .. and now as I have it off it is already the second day without it. I cant walk properly ( just look like a zombie a bit / ) | Cant move my foot towards my face .. check photo how it is swollen (was swollen also when they took my cast off) ... is it somehow bad ? I also Feel most of the pain under my ankle ..Any tips how to recover as i have vacation soon (I know i wont be able to fully enjoy the vacation Doctor confirmed that no bone was broken after xray ... Do you think the tendons or ligaments can be damaged ? I also hear/Feel a pop when i put my foot from above to the floor ANY TIPS WOULD HELP OR IF YOU COULD TELL ME WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN DAMAGED Has anyone suffered anything similar? THANKS !!!

I did the same when I was 19 in boot camp, and I still need to be careful with it at 39. Initially, it took 5 months of being in a recovery platoon with 2 injections. I've had physical therapy and a handful more of injections on it over the years. Because of my balance issues from it and compensation of the injury, I've had issues with my knees, hips, and back over the years. It's also still 4× the size of my left 20 years later. Ankles are pain in the asses. Be mindful of continued care with training and soft casting. Be wary of barefoot training with squats and deadlifts. Hope this doesn't scare you, but I wish I knew now what i did not know then, my dude.
