I’m here sitting in my grandparents den looking at the cutout from the newspaper of the Habs’ TV schedule.

My grandfather was a lifelong fan and watched every game with my grandma. He passed away this morning after a heart attack yesterday. I know we didn’t win last night, but I hope we win the next one for him. We lost a good one. He told me so many stories about Beliveau and how much of a gentleman he was. I’m from Ottawa so I wouldn’t be a fan today if it wasn’t for him.

Gallagher was his current favourite player, I hope he scores tomorrow.

Edit: Thank you so much everyone, this is what hockey and being a fan is all about - bringing people together behind something in common. My grandpa would have loved this. Really a bright spot on my day and my family’s day today. Truly the best fans out there 🔵⚪️🔴
