So we are doing some work for a pot farm and we had to clean up 5 huge evaporators inside an old produce packing plant that they are turning into a drying room. The cleaning part sucked until I brought my electric pressure washer and actually was able to shine up the metal case but the coils were pretty nasty. So here goes the fuck up. I go to grab the pump sprayer my lead filled up to start soaking them coils and it just isn’t doing anything at all. He bought fucking ice machine cleaner to clean these coils with. Now i know they have self cleaning evap cleaner, but im worried that ice machine cleaner wont do anything at all in the next 72hrs and the food safety guys are gonna look up and see the coils still basically black. I even showed dude the bottle where it said ice machine cleaner and he’s just like “nah, it’ll be fine, you can use it on both” but ive been told otherwise by people i trust so how fucked am i exactly? Or does it really make a difference?
