Are window AC units really that much better than portables?
Post Body

Hi,

I’m looking to buy an AC unit for my apartment and I’m having some trouble figuring out if a window unit or portable unit would be better for me, based on what I’m reading online.

My initial thought was to get a portable unit so I could take it to whatever room I’m in (my office during the day, bedroom at night, etc.) but I’m reading that portables are really crappy compared to window units? Is that true?

I’m not entirely opposed to getting a window unit in my bedroom if it’s that much more effective, and using fans in the other rooms, but the idea of a portable unit is a lot more appealing to me.

This is my first time ever buying an AC unit so I’m sorry if this sounds dumb! Lol thanks for your help in advance
