How do you guys who have 15 years in the trade do this shit still? Im going on 10 and am about to call it. I guess I fucked up my back bad (12 herniated discs), so I'm an outlier. I also wrestled for 12 years which I'm sure beat the fuck out of my body. Anyway, how the fuck do you guys still do this? I'm in so much pain every fucking day but I know that I can go out and make 3k in a day easily & that's the only thing that keeps me coming back. The work sucks, injury rates are high, the hours are shit. So, let me ask you... what keeps you coming back? If I had my physical health I probably wouldn't mind so much but have you guys ever thought of a life where we don't come home and lay on 4 ice packs? I just need 2 good techs and I can step back and run my business and not have to run all the calls as well. In due time... I'm fucking 27 years old; too young for this. End rant.
My personal advice is, 1) proper footwear. The relief I got for getting orthopedic insoles was amazing. 2) good doctors. I was in physical therapy for over three years. Then I went to a sports therapist, he popped my hip “aligned” and my leg was better in days. 3) braces. Only use compression braces when working. Don’t wear them all the time. 4) no opioids. During my medical treatment I was prescribed handfuls of medications. Getting off them was difficult. And made the pains worse for quite a while.
