Carbon monoxide

Went to a PM last week and everything checked out fine ( it was a 3 year old unit we installed). Was talking to the customer afterward and asked her about carbon monoxide detectors and she said she has one but she disconnected it because the beeping was upsetting her dogs. I just facepalmed and changed the batteries for her then left.
