I’m a 54 year old man that has been in the bdsm/kink community for many years. Recently, I was exposed to hsv1 and hsv2 and, as a result I’m a carrier. No outbreaks, but multiple confirmed tests. I’m also poly, and my only current partner is also positive. We are experiencing relationship issues and the thought of re-entering the dating world as a single hsv1 and hsv2 positive male does worry me. I’m open and transparent on my Fetlife profile. I often get people telling me that they admire that I’m transparent, but so far no one has admitted to being positive as well. Statistics would suggest many are, but either don’t know or won’t admit it. I don’t regret being transparent, but it does sadden me me that it will be difficult for a 54 year old Daddy Dom to have a relationship again. I want to close up and give up. Does anyone else relate to my situation? I’m looking for hope I guess.
