Any Type 1 Diabetics Out There?

I’ve been seeing a girl that’s a type 1 diabetic, and I’m looking to disclose to her soon. I’m concerned that even if she is accepting, she would be ad risk of severe symptoms if I transmit to her due to her pre existing autoimmune disorder. Are my concerns valid? Is there anyone out there that has both that could maybe chime in? Thanks.
