Just told my bf

I came back from the doctor today and was told I have genital herpes. I then called my boyfriend and told him the news. He said he has to do research on it since he doesn’t know much about it, but that since we’re both thinking of marriage - he’s not feeling it’s news to hit the breaks yet still wants to research for his health. I don’t know where or how I got hsv2, but I believe I’d rather focus my energy on acceptance and learning to live a full life. I’m sad but for some strange reason I don’t feel it.
