I’ve been seeing someone for almost a year now. and when things started to get more serious, they disclosed to me their status with the virus. soon after that they experienced their first OB and that’s when I joined the sub Reddit to learn more about the virus and how I can support them.
Prior to them disclosing to me we had had sex countless times, and I understand why they didn’t want to disclose until things got more serious. I respect their decision. This sub Reddit has taught me a lot about the virus. More than google ever could given that these are real life experiences. I learned through here that the virus can be transmitted even if my partner isn’t experiencing an OB . With that knowledge I thought you’d be in my best interest to go and get tested. Which i did a few weeks ago.
My doctors office just called me and let me know that I am positive for the virus. They didn’t say if it’s GHSV or OHSV just that I’m positive. and since I don’t experience any symptoms or outbreaks, I’m asymptomatic. I just found out and I haven’t told my partner yet and right now I just don’t know what to do or how to feel.
