Look, I very much enjoy fanon stuff about dark magic being complex. It is not canonically. There is absolutely zero evidence anywhere in the books that dark magic is anything else other than evil magic. Also the death eaters are very much canonically a terrorist organization that murdered and tortured people. It wasn't a select group of extremist death eaters. Pureblood bigots who weren't out there murdering were not death eaters. Seriously this Fandom has so many folks who have been in the Fandom so long that they either forget canon or don't have the ability to read. I am aware I am being mean, I am ok with this. Death Eaters have a cute aesthic I agree. Also p.s the purebloods in Harry Potter were Christian. There is no old ways.
