As by then, Dumbledore have already taken Harry to the Dursleys and makes the whole wizarding world believe that he died. Petunia's and Vernon's memories are modified so that they have no recollection of Lily, they are given false memories, and Harry is given a new name, and everyone (including Harry) celebrates his memory.
Only Dumbledore and Voldemort know the truth.
Bonus points if James and Lily have another child.
