Simple question because I really only started reading HP fics in the mid 2000s, and that was on FFN primarily. I never got involved in all the other fandom specific sites, so Iām not really familiar with how the tropes developed over time and became popular.
I was looking back through old favorites from back then and noticed a trend of quite a few parenting class specific stories, usually involving Dumbledore deciding 6th and 7th year students should be made to learn how to parent, sometimes because of promiscuity and sometimes out of some weird āmanipulative Dumbledoreā machinations.
It made me wonder just when the parenting class trope got popular. To my (limited) view, that seemed to fizzle out relatively quickly. But I donāt know if it was replaced by Marriage Law fics or if it happened after those became popular and they just eclipsed this subset of fics.
Anyone know?
This is just idle inquiry because Iām curious, really. š¤·š»āāļø
