Okay, so I've been looking at a few posts that were complaining about mugglewank, and I came to a conclusion; they're right. In a Wizard Vs. Muggle showdown, the Wizards will win every time, if they had any sense.
But that led me down another rabbit hole... why is there a statute of secrecy when even the most common wizard has enough power to claim God status, even in the 1700s? Well, because JKR wrote one of the best Crack fics of all time, apparently.
So what would an accurate logical Wizarding world look like? Probably exactly what we think of Pharoahs in Ancient Egypt today. The Wizards are on top, maybe practicing their own religion, but definitely making the claim that because they have magic, they are blessed by the gods or are gods in human form, with the poor muggles being serfs, if not outright slaves. Though that might be a cynic's view. I suppose it would depend on whether or not Zarathustra was a wizard, and if Greek philosophy ever took off in this POD. I doubt it though.
