Post Body

Hopefully there are some people here that can give me some guidance and advice from experience.

I found about a month ago that I had internal anal warts. I was told that the only way to deal with these was to have them removed surgically. I am already 2 rounds (of 3) into the HPV vaccine as a secondary hope that this would help. I had surgery about 14 days ago and things have been getting better every day. I am finally having a majority of the day where i feel "normal" and am actually able to sleep through the night. I am, however, having a bit of an issue that i am hoping is also "normal" and hoping that there is some experience here.

I feel that I am not reliably able to tell when I need to have a BM, it just doesn't feel like it used to. When i do have a BM things are ok and relatively painless, but afterwards I have what i would describe as discomfort from what feels like anal pressure. It seems as though things are not recovering after a BM like i would expect them to. This feeling usually lasts a few (2-4) hours. I feel like i have to practice kegal exercises to constrict my pelvic floor muscles to make it feel normal.

Is this a normal side effect of the surgery and is this something that goes away?
