Proofread my disclosure text please
Post Body

We’ve been on 2 good dates and have a third planned very soon. I am getting increasingly nervous about disclosing in person and want to go ahead and rip off bandaid via text How does this sound

i like you so far and before i see you next I just want to tell u i’ve had a couple abnormal pap smears due to HPV. HPV is extremely common, more than 80% of sexually active people will get a strain during lifetime. the strain i have affects cervix and doesn’t cause genital warts. i am very proactive with my sexual health and following this up. quit smoking in the last year etc. it clears in over 70% of people within 2 years and i recently had a procedure to treat it that is likely to clear the virus. i just won’t know the results til my next pap smear in about 6 months.

i was told by gynecologist that theres no reason to tell men because it’s very low risk to them and there’s no test for men. but i would want any potential partner to know this and it feels like a lie of omission not to disclose this.

we could take things slow and use barriers etc. i just wanted to go ahead and tell you.
