Don't come at me, please, I am simply passing along what my doctor said and I am not saying I agree or disagree with her.
I saw my PCP yesterday after everything that happened (see previous post). Got updated STI testing but also asked her, "Should I disclose HPV to a partner when we discuss STIs?"
Her immediate response was, There's no need to disclose. It's a women's issue and it's not included in STI/STD screenings. No.
This is the same medical advice, now from a second doctor, that I have received on this subject. Just for everyone to consider what information women work with when we are learning about HPV from our doctors in the context of our women's health.
