My wife and I had a stint of open non-monogamy and both had sex with other people last year, around the summer/early fall. Neither of us have experienced any symptoms up until now. That said, I noticed a couple of bumps on the skin near my anus yesterday that bled when I prodded them. They are difficult to see even with close inspection, and blend in with the flesh around that area. In fact I accidentally picked one of when I was trying to feel it's size and it burst into blood. They are not coming out of my anus so I know they are not hemmerhoids.

If course being a hypochondriac I got led down a rabbit hole yesterday. I have not engaged in anything near my anus, ever, and upon inspecting myself for genital warts found nothing.

Anyways I have two questions - one, can anal warts happen regardless of if I have engaged in anal play? And two, I am a heavy weed smoker - is it recommended to stop smoking weed completely?
