I've had an idea for a fic...
Post Body

Tw: suicidal thoughts, major character death, angst.

So I've had this idea about a James/Scorpius story that is inspired by Astra Inclinant.

It follows a similar premise of James being an outcast, angry with how no one sees him as James and everyone sees him as Harry Potter's son.

Scorpius and he become friends on the train, but that soon unravels, because people hate James and turn Scorpius against him.

This is where the fic would definetly diverge though.

A social outcast, and desperately lonely, James focuses only on his studies. His cousins can't stand him either because he's angry all the time, lonely but someone who lashes out.

Then, Teddy dies. In the hospital, James sees the shadow of death and sees Teddy's soul leaving his body. He tells death to take him instead, because he deserves to die and Teddy deserves to live. Because he's no one, and nothing. He's not worth the life and soul he has because no one could love him, no one ever would. Not Harry, not his schoolmates, not his family.

He touches Teddy and siphon his life force into him. Teddy's soul survives, and he lives.

James dies, whispering to his father that its better that way. Teddy deserves life more than him because Teddy has always been than James, has more to give the world than he does.

He dies in Harry's arms. Except he kind of doesn't, and he ends up as a spirit, and deaths companion. Death and he form a kind of bond and death gifts James with a deal- if James can find love within one year, and prove the fact that he was wrong about deserving life, then he can be brought back to life at the time of his original death, with Teddy saved as well.

If not, Both Teddy and James' souls will be claimed forever as his servants.
