Why do I have to click Win+Y to control the desktop

It's set to automatically switch when I put on the headset but never does. Why bind it to something difficult to use in VR?

EXACTLY THIS! Holy hell does this option suck, also why in the hell do some apps force open the virtual keyboard when all I’m doing it clicking buttons! It’s impossible to use Assetto Corsa Content Manager in VR because every damn button I press opens the damn keyboard 😡
