Long time lurker here on another account and I don't see this talked about.

I post this experience in the hope it may help others.

Married 6 yrs, together 15. Wife is 18 yrs younger and we had sex almost daily until the birth of our daughter nearly 8 yrs ago.

After the birth my wife tried the implant for BC but after a year she had it removed and went back to the Depo injection every 3 months.

For 7 years our sex life had been up and down, but massively different to what it was before my daughter.

April last year my wife stopped the Depo, and decided to try a copper coil instead. She had bleeding for months, until around September when it stopped and her regular periods have more or less returned now.

The point of this post is the effect it's had on her sex drive. It's certainly not back to where it was, but she's admitted it's massively different. She admitted that she rarely thought about sex before, although we've always had a good time once we started. Like many people here I've found the lack of desire, and initiation very hard to live with.

She's back to masturbating several times per week, thinking about sex, getting horny, and initiating now.

So, has anyone else here thought BC is a possible issue in their relationship?
