Thank you for your reading and some feedbacks. This is a post seeking help in choosing an offer.
My sister received HKUST qin (full scholarship ) and HKU IBGM (it said it also provides full scholarship but needs 5A*, my sister said that it’s probably not achievable and didn’t meet another requirement) (I was not understandable but overall means she cannot get a scholarship from HKU)
Here comes choosing.
About funding:
HKUST qfin provides a full scholarship but cannot have her high school scholarship (annual around 140,000HKD)
HKU has no scholarship but can have high school scholarship (annually around 140,000HKD) (school scholarship based on the ranking of the school, so HKU meets the requirements while HKUST cannot get it)
Actually we are affordable for the educational cost, but my sis considers a bit of the cost.
For career:
She was good at math, science, econ, and AI stuff. And lately I know she was like interning in some AI startups. She also has a passion for doing some crazy things but she said qfin seems to give her a more promising permanent job.
She also said she decided to double CS if choosing IBGM (I am not very familiar with the policy), and double major in EE/ CS in hkust so I was wondering if there was a bit of no difference from taking both majors.
I was trying to help her to gain some good advice. Thanks.
