[Episode 1&2 Spoilers] Red Herring in the way of HIMYM

Post Body

At the end of the Pilot, Future Sophie says something similar to what Future Ted says when he recalls the Econ 101 class story. She says something like "I didn't know it yet but that night I had met your father" then a quick montage plays showing a 2 or 3 second clip of each of the main guy characters from the episode.

But considering that this show is inspired by HIMYM and HIMYM very shitty-ly handled the mother storyline towards the end of S9 and especially with killing her in the finale, I have an idea of what will be the case with HIMYF.

So, yes, Sophie did meet her husband that night, I'll agree to that, but very good chance it isn't any of the main 4 or 5 guy characters the pilot wants you to think it is, but its one of the guys at the bar when she inadvertently crashes Sid's surprise proposal party, a guy that she spoke to on or off screen.

If HIMYF is anything like HIMYF, its obviously not going to end up being the male version of Robin where they meet, like each other, but decide to stay friends, only to end up dating down the line and it ends in disaster. But if HIMYF learns from HIMYM's mistakes then they wont put too many red herrings or force together characters that are terrible for each other or worse, force together sophie and Jesse after already giving them their big Ted&Robin Breakup.

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, Aptaker and Berger, learn from the mistakes of Bays and Thomas!
