Post Body

Four years since the first encounter with the humans, and the battles have simply grown more frequent and elaborate. The news about the true identities of the crew we had orginially encountered hit Ortharian command like a hover-train as they were not pirates; but were, according to their ship's logs, agents of human intelligence sent to study trade lanes for privateers and mercenaries. Humans, being lowly creatures, are not above using their own people as shields and scapegoats; however, when they are part of larger and more important sectors of the government or military...things escalate quickly.

War was inevitable as human senators swayed their higher leadership into action. Thus they sent their most fearsome weapons and unholy creations upon us. No sane creature would ever think to ressurrect the most dangerous predators of their past, and use them as fodder; yet the humans would drop containers filled with hundreds of these "dinosaurs" onto Ortharian colonies. I never knew such large creatures could move with such speed and silence until I saw a huge beast ambush the small convoy I was being escorted on, it's jaws snapping down on the driver of my vehicle and bisecting his body; his green vicera splattering everywhere as we lost control and crashed. I barely escaped and later learned that this creature was called a Tyrannosaurus Rex, and was also used in mass-calvary formations to break enemy fortifications in ground battles; the numerous reports i poured over went into such graphic detail that i found myself vomiting on more than one occasion, as the sour taste of acid stung the sensitive tendrils on my face and chin.

My next encounter with humans would be on my way to my homeworld of Kul'th to plead with the rulers of my people to sue for some semblance of peace. As I was compiling my notes and researching human diplomacy in corrispondance with my friends and brother, who worked in our intelligence devision; our ship was attacked as we tried taking a shortcut through a human warpgate. They boarded our ship; but these weren't the normal grunts who gassed the vessel and picked of the stragglers...these ones were worse. Several loud clunks of heavy boots rang out on the gilded floors of our ship as Ortharian soldiers poured heavy fire down the halls; plasma charges, decintigrator rays and even a photon grenade were all effective in holding the human marines at bay...for a time. Then they started returning fire; as I watched in terror and horror at my comerades' heads exploding in showers of our devine green blood. The human bullets were archaic in their design; but advanced in their function, as they penetrated our energy shields as if they weren't even there. The marines were clad in heavy armor that resisted anything we could throw at it; likely due to a special mateiral, coating or shielding of their own. Their movements where practiced, highly cordinated, and almost robotic in nature; but what surprised me the most was their size and strength. Each one stood almost 2 meters tall and could pick up a Ortharian elite guard with a single hand and toss him across the corridors like nothing; I witnessed one ripping the captian apart, his screams still ring in my ears as he cried to the gods to save him...it would seem the gods have abandoned us.

I write this report in the hopeful safety of this newest escape pod; though i doubt I will be safe for much longer...as I see a human battleship looming outside my small window; it's cargo bay opening like the maw of a greater Hul'grack, as it swallows my craft in darkness. May mankind forgive me of my past sins against it.
