They came from Earth...
Post Body

The first humans we encountered we didn't think very much of. We did not know their history nor had any idea that their reputation was anything but heresay; little did we know in a few short years we would be proven wrong in ways we could not fathom. The small vessel had only 5 crew members; a pirate vessel of wandering briggins looking for things to break and loot. Their frail and fragile bodies were interesting to study in comparison to our own; far from durable like our own Ortharnian bretheren, but with a surpisingly high pain tolerance and their unusal biology produces natural adrenaline (a class 14 stimulant; heavily regulated among hundreds of senate species.) Unfortunately, we were not as careful as we should have been in our examinations; and our human subjects ended up dying on the table and in horrible pain...the last words of one of them still haunts me to this day...

"We will be avenged..."

When the Sol system learned of this, the declariation of war was sent clearly as an attack was launched upon one of our scout fleets on the edge of human space; I happened to be on board as acting chief medical staff. It was initially expected the humans would send their entire fleet to meet us in open battle. However; all that we saw was one singular ship. It was massive; probably had a million souls aboard it, yet few external weapons. We thought them foolish and we sent 4 squads of bombers towards it; that's when it happened. A massive EMP pulse shut down all incoming craft as they all simply smashed into the sides of the massive capital ship doing no damage to it as it simply advanced, slowly.

Next to attack were our frigates and the rest of the fleet following suit. Every weapon in our arsenal concentrated on a single target; when we noticed a single missile being launched our way. So small it was, we laughed at it as it connected with a piece of space debris; and that's when it happened. The first that came was a blinding light as a wave of fire and destruction wiped out almost a third of our fleet; ships bisected by the sheer force of the explosion and smashed into dust and twisted metal, the other third sustained heavy damage as well just from oncoming debris, and the systems of our own ship must have been compromised, simply showing an error signal on the force of the blast.

Then; the enemy hailed us...we answered to see a human sitting in his captains chair, his lips curled back and his teeth showing in what has been dubbed a "smile". That face haunts me to this day as the human captain says his piece.

"You cannot possibly fathom how fucked you guys are."

The screen goes black as I attempt to rush to the escape pods as the human ship emits a powerful signal that assaults our systems; shutting down many ship functions, save for life support and communications. On the ship comms, we heard what the humans called "music". An unsettling cacophony of noise that assaulted our senses as our systems rebooted just in time to pick up thousands of contacts as squads of fighters are ejected from the massive enemy ship. Missiles and torpedoes, EMP weapons, Plasma charges, magnetic clamps and armor piercing harpoons that rip what few remaining ships apart.

We tried calling for surrender; but it went unanswered as humans boarded our vessel. The first things that came were chemical weapons and gas grenades; I was fortunate enough to be in an escape pod by the time i saw the armored silhouettes of humans as they wielded unspeakable weapons that shot jets of fire that melted my crewmates into puddles and piles of carbonized flesh, and ballistic weapons that shredded the stragglers. I realized all too late; that a war with humans is to court death.
