Is it true that HEX staking or unstaking is not worth due to ETH Gas Fees?

So I was watching this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GcN_OkK9XMk
And this qoute on the chat caught my attention: "yes it ! Just ended a short stake and payed more gas then the interest. Long stakes are even worse cuz adds fee for each staked day"
Just wondering if this is true.
