I know most of your HENRY’ers earn £100K plus but what’s the earliest threshold where you would say “yeah they earn a pretty penny” that may not necessarily be 6 figures. Before that could be 40k, then perhaps 60-70k, but I feel that £80-100k maybe where it’s at now due to the economy. What’s everyone’s thoughts.

I’m not a high earner so I don’t know why this sub shows up in my feed but your comment reminded me of the time I found out different areas of the country got different pay rates. It was a taxi driver taking me to my job as a carer at the time, his daughter was also a carer in Hertfordshire, who earned around triple what I did in Suffolk. I couldn’t believe it, didn’t stay in that job long after finding that out.

It was over ten years ago so I have no idea what the minimum wage was then.

But now that I’ve read your comment it does seem like the taxi man was talking shit, either that or I’m misremembering with it being triple. I just remember this woman was making a lot more than I was.
