As far as I know H‑E‑B isn’t publicly traded, so they shouldn’t have stockholders to deal with, but the quality of H‑E‑B branded items has gone extremely downhill while prices have shot up. Prices shouldn’t be so close or sometimes even more than name brand items. The chips lately all seem overcooked. Packaging on meats and cheeses is terrible now. Frozen items have been going up in price while the quality has been going down. Does anyone who works for the company know why this is happening? I used to be a strong supporter of the store brand items, but it’s simply not worth it anymore. Anyone else feel the same?
