I have seen multiple posts in differnet forums, and they all mentioned how they decided to stop reaching out first. So people I would text everyday, some for years, I stopped texting them. For over two weeks I did not hear from any of them. It showed me where I matter and showed me I was the only one to care and put in the energy. One of them finally texted me, saying why they were distant from me, and pretty much said they didnt appreciate me saying hey beautiful, which ive called her for over 4 years, and didn't appreciate me ending some of our conversations with yes. For those wondering what yes meant, they use to ask if I really meant what I said, or if I did care about them. Since then, i have texted them once and I have stopped texting them, and even though they said they consider me a close friend and will be there, their actions have showed that's not the case, it's been 8 days since they texted me and a week since I emailed them, just to see, and nothing. While it hurts to see where I sit in their lives, and seeing that alot of what was said was to make them feel better, I can see they don't care about me or our friendship. I understand no one is required to respond to texts and people are free to do what they want since I don't pay their bills. One thing during this was I did meet a new associate, still trying to take that one correct so I haven't really texted them. They use to be a manager at a restaurant I frequented until I moved and then moved to a restaurant closer to where I live unknowingly until one day they just left, and finally happened to run into them at my normal Friday lunch spot, I have interacted with them for over 5 years, but figured as an older adult, maybe this is how to try and make new friends.
