I am interested to learn if anyone has experienced or made a connection between the gastrointestinal birth defect, Gastroschisis and gut health in life.
Post Body

I am 38 years old, was born with Gastroschisis in 1984. Since I survived this birth defect, nothing else was ever explained to me about it. Other then a scar on my tummy I don’t know of any long term issues. Im currently learning about the importance of gut health and that I likely have ‘leaky’ gut. Starting to get curious about possible links between Gastroschisis and gut health. I recognize there may not be information on this as it is under ‘functional medicine’ and western doctors don’t look into things this deeply. Appreciate any information.
