Turning down sales to customers prior to background checks.
Post Body

This issue has came up at my store recently with how we should deal with customers who we don’t feel fit to own certain firearms. I recently had the pleasure of selling the cheapest handgun we had to a younger kid (21). He came in with what I presume was his older brother and a friend. The kid seemed to be lacking in the IQ department as he had to ask his brother how to spell the street that they lived on. Can’t remember what the street name was but it was a simple name to spell maybe 5 letters. Against my better judgment I proceeded to sell him the gun as he passed the background check with no issues. So my question is how does everybody else deny sales without creating unwanted confrontation?
