I recently burned out/shorted/otherwise killed a Peavey 300 watt head by being too awesome. It served its purpose in that it made the walls shake. I bought a Carvin BX500 a couple days ago, played it today, and it's a scratchy mess of garbage, so it's on its way back to San Diego for my $400-something back. Now I have everything I need to make a bunch of horrible noise, except a head.
Now, what I'm looking for is something in that power and price range that is super simple, has no or as few effects as possible, and maybe even small-ish. I've had my eye on a couple of the TC Electronic heads, like the BH550 or RH450, but I was curious if there was anything else that the likely more wise folks around here would recommend.
