Indie Rock/Emo/Punk Tube Combo Amp Reccs.
Post Body

Hey, I need some help. I'm looking to get my first (used) tube amp. I need your guys' help picking out an Combo Amp I mainly play a mesh of Indie/Alt Rock, Punk, Midwest Emo/90s Emo, Post-Hardcore.

Bands like Brand New, Jimmy Eat World, Remo Drive, Cursive, The Get Up Kids, Mordern Baseball, Car Seat Headrest, Modest Mouse, Death Cab For Cutie.

Budget: 400~$500

I'm currently using a CV 60s' Squire Jazzmaster

I live with my family while going to college in an apartment, so I need to fine something that sounds good at Bedroom levels. I understand that tube amps work best when cranked, but I have pedals with me, so I wouldn't mind using these as clean pedal platforms tbh.

Also, I don't want anything too heavy to bring back home (had to pass on a $500 Hot Rod because of this). I'm live in Bronx, New York and I wouldn't taking a train with the amp.

So far the amps I'm considering are (if they're still available on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace:

  1. Vox AC10C1 for $325. I've tried this amp at a Guitar Center, and it's cool.
  2. Marshall JCM2000 DSL401 for $350
  3. Marshall DSL 20 Combo for $425. I've tried a new one at GC and I was impressed at how close I sounded to the The Get Up Kids lol.

Feel free to give any reccs too, and thanks in advance.
