Post Body

Hi everyone,

So I’m thinking of modding my American standard 2011 strat.

Basically, I want to make the 1st tone knob a master tone and then have the 2nd knob turned into a blend for the bridge pickup so in 4th position I could blend in that bridge pickup and get all 3 pickups and in 5th position get the bridge and neck… I guess it’s a pretty standard mod.

The only concern I have with this, say I’m doing chording in 5th position (neck pickup) with the blend pot completely turned down, but then have a solo where I quickly change to position 1 to get that sound that punches through a bit more….

Will I have to also completely roll on the blend knob in addition to changing the switch in this scenario? I need to talk to my guitar tech a bit more about this, but wanted to check with you all to see if it’s possible to go from 5th position with the blend knob turned down, to 1st with the blend knob turned down and have the pickup come fully on without worrying about dialing that knob all the way up…? I assume there’s a way to bypass this…. Idk not really familiar with how this is going to work

Thank you !!
