[Question]- New to everything electric guitar and was wondering if it is possible to set up a looper pedal on a fender frontman 15g amp, and if so, how? I don't know the first thing about how this stuff works.

Hi,

I am new to electric guitars, I have used an acoustic pretty much my whole life so that's what I learned guitar with. One of my friends was moving and lost interest in guitar so he gave me his fender squire and the amp that he got with it. Now I don't really understand much about all the technical stuff to do with electric guitars and amps, I only know how to play a bit.

Anyways I hear a lot about looper pedals and how wonderful they can be. However I don't even know the first thing about getting one and setting it up. Where do you even plug it in. I read that you have to have an effects output or something like that. My amp seems pretty basic. It only has an input jack and a headphone jack and something that says aux in. My amp is a fender frontman 15g apparently. I know its not the greatest amp but it does the job for me and I just like to play for the sheer enjoyment of playing so I don't need anything fancy.

However I do want to know if I can use something like a super basic affordable looper on this thing and how would I even go about setting it up? Where would I plug things into is what I am unsure of. I don't know the first thing about loopers or even how to plug one in. Can I even use a looper with this amp? Do I need special cables or something? Does one cable go into the input and one into the guitar? Can I even do that? I have no clue, so I thought id ask.

I cannot really find any answers anywhere that gets specific, all people talk about is using the looper itself or other pedals. I don't really care about getting other pedals quite yet. I am more interested in a looper specifically.

Sorry about me being new to all this but I have no idea about all this stuff since I've been playing acoustic for years and never touched an electric guitar until recently so I don't know anything about all the technical details or what anything even means.

Thanks

edit- thanks for the responses I really appreciate it. I am very excited to try out a looper!
