hello!

i’m now beginning to learn music theory. so much to take in, but trust me i couldn’t be more excited!

that being said, i do have a question in regards to these pentatonic scales. i apologize if my question couldn’t be more clear, but i’ll try to decipher it as much as possible for you guys.

so a minor pentatonic in POSITION 2 is the same as POSITION 1 in a major pentatonic right????

so if i’m playing the A minor pentatonic scale in position one, i can easily play a C major pentatonic in position 2 because they’re all the same notes right?

so if i’m playing to a backing track in A minor, can i shift between both positions? can i do the same if i’m playing in a C major backing track?

i’m slowly starting to notice these patterns on the neck & it’s completely mind blowing to me.
