I've got three more guitars on my "must have" list, but a Tele was never in my crosshairs (quite the opposite). I think they're really worth a try. The Player series is an awesome modding platform too.

To be fair, I've needed to buff the frets of every guitar I've bought (with the exception of my Music Man, but that uses stainless steel). In fact, every guitar I've owned has had something I'd change about it to better suit my preferences. Maybe I'm just fussy?

I could afford any guitar in the store, but most expensive doesn't necessarily make for the best choice.
I considered a Strat, but decided I'd rather build my own (think Malmsteen Strat with more modern fittings). That'll probably be my next project.
