Post Body

Hello r/Guitar I'll start off with the fact that I'm on mobile so please forgive any formatting or spelling mistakes.

So with the whole COVID-19 pandemic going on I was laid off and now have a ton more free time on my hands so I started to play quite a bit more. I decided to do a string change on my crap acoustic. Yes it's crap. Action is way to high and it's kinda difficult to do string changes, but my mom who I no longer can see gave it too me so it's sentimental.

Now as I was doing my string change I heard somthing fall to the ground. I look and one of my tuning pegs had fallen out entirely. I was rather upset because I now have a 5 string. Not ideal for me at this point (although I'm sure it's probably a thing).

Now as much as I'd like to say I know anything at all about fixing this I have no idea and I found out after my dad had found it on my nightstand and threw it out because he didnt know what it was.

So my question is actually 2 in one. I'm in Canada and now I guess I'm looking for new tuning pegs (I feel like that's not what their called). Preferably either free or low cost as I have very little money right now for several reasons (string recommendations are welcome as well). And also how do I go about changing the tuning pegs without damaging my guitar?

I'd be extremely grateful for any help. I want to be able to play again even though I'm not great, I really don't care it's somthing that helps me get through some tough stuff.
