Hello guitar community!

I’ve dedicated myself this summer into tapping into the theory of guitar & learning more about scales of major & minor.

Starting tomorrow, I’m going to pick one key a week to focus on its major & minor parts. I’ve chosen the key of A this week.

So just off of my thinking, I guess I’m going to put on backing tracks of A & mess around with the scales aka improvise?

Does that sound efficient? Will I truly get better at understanding the scales by doing that? Is there something else or something more I can be doing? Does one key a week sound good?

Anything helps! I want to become a great musician.

Thank you!
