I'm running a Chinese Modern Player Tele Plus using a Pig Hog cable through a Line 6 Spider V 30 plugged in through a ground lift adapter.
I'm not saying I'm surprised there's a lot of buzz, I'm just trying to pin down the biggest contributor and see what can be done about it. I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to audio tech.
I don't think it's the Line 6. The guitar volume's rolled all the way off, I have the drive and volume up all the way, and the master is louder than I would ever put it if the guitar's volume was all the way up. Through my headphones there's a very faint white noise and through the speakers I still need to turn it up a lot to hear anything. So yeah, probably not the amp.
Now everything is at noon (the drive, EQ and volume), and the guitar volume is all the way up.
BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
It doesn't sound ridiculous until knob's turned ~70% down, but now you can't really hear the guitar.
I think I got the cable for $10 for 6ft.
And the Tele like I said is from China and it was 500 so it could be any part of the electronics if it ain't the cable.
Any ideas?
