I bought a used guitar (Deluxe Player Strat) that has gold hardware, and I think it looks friggen sweet. Especially after I spent a couple hours cleaning the fretboard, giving everything a good wipe down, and polishing the frets and body. The other day I tried to put in a different strap button, and ended up taking off the neck and doing a deeper clean on everything, like getting down deep into the cracks and grooves, aiming to get this guitar looking like new. I eventually even took the bridge out and took apart all the saddles. I wiped them down as good as I could with the rag I was using, but they still look like this. https://m.imgur.com/gallery/5JBJvYz Can this be scrubbed or scraped or polished, or is it deeper than that? Will it ever be shiny and smooth again?
