So I have a neurological condition called CMT that causes muscle wasting in my hands..
It made it super hard to learn guitar at 19, bit luckily I had the time back then, and now, at 35 I hardly ever pick my acoustic up. Its been beat up, thrashed on, glued back together, doesnt hold a tune, but has followed me around for 16 years and is ready to retire... But damn do I miss playing.
Barre chords were never an option, and I honestly can only do slightly more complicated (for me) riffs for a short time before tiring out.. so not playing any shows. I just want to buy a decently nice guitar that is easy to play and will suit me well until I pass it down.
I know the answer is "go to guitar store and start playing" but my local guitar center has literally thousands to choose from, and I'd like a few recommendations on where to start, as i know my inner child is not gonna be able to look past the gibson SGs and LPs lol. And to be honest, I'm not excited about playing shittily in front of a bunch of strangers, but I will 😅.
