Post Body

Hi! Title sums me up pretty well. I’m about a little over a month into playing & saw a TikTok stressing the importance of learning scales.

Before I start, I want to know if it’s even an appropriate time to start learning them considering I only know enough chords to play simpler songs & a few picking/fretting exercises.

The reason I ask is because I actually did try and start learning them but the videos I saw were intimidating & felt like an overload of information. Not to mention the little diagrams of the different scales confusing me even more. So I’m trying to figure out if maybe this has something to do with my Autism or if I just don’t have enough background knowledge to learn scales quite yet.

Thanks in advance for any replies.
