I've appreciated Guild guitars for more than 20 years. A bandmate in college had a vintage one from the '70s and it was a fantastic instrument.
Also, my first proper guitar as a teen was a '67 Fender Mustang, so the shape has always spoken to me.
Well, I got my Surfliner the other day: hardtail, HSS, in orange. It's a great guitar.
It plays like an instrument that costs significantly more than what I paid for it. Plus, I bought mine as B-stock, thanks to a minor imperfection in the finish, so i got it for 45 percent less than retail.
I'd definitely recommend it to anyone into something a little different or who enjoys Jazzmaster type guitars.
