Should i restart and switch to the Arenanet laucher instead of steam?

I have recently started playing GW2 and have only put a few hours into it when i have caught up on the debacle regarding the differences between the two launchers. I was looking into buying the complete edition of both, but supposedly i would have to wait to purchase the living worlds expansions on the Anet launcher. I do not purchase skins at all really and was wondering if that makes a difference regarding the debate.
