This is basically just the Snow Crows' raid Heal Scrapper but with a few tweaks to traits and utilities. The big change, of course, is that Scrapper is now capable of providing quickness to 5 players. With enough concentration and the right utilities, it's not hard to hit 100% uptime on quickness. Scrapper will now apply 2 seconds of quickness every time it applies superspeed to allies. With 100% boon duration, that's 4 seconds of quickness per instance of superspeed. Here are our sources of AoE superspeed:

  • F1 Bandage Self - With the Speed of Synergy trait, this toolbelt skill will apply AoE superspeed on use. 17 second cooldown.
  • F5 Function Gyro - Gyroscopic Acceleration allows all our gyros to apply AoE superspeed, including our F5. 25 second cooldown.
  • Blast Gyro - The gyro itself is nothing special but it does provide another source of superspeed on a 25 second cooldown. Taking this, though, also gives us...
  • Bypass Coating - The toolbelt skill for Blast Gyro gives us another AoE superspeed source. It also serves as a stunbreak, for what it's worth. 30 second cooldown.
  • Bulwark Gyro - One of the hallmarks of heal scrapper even before this patch. Great for protecting allies, and now also providing us quickness on a 20 second cooldown. The toolbelt skill is also great for us (group stability reflects).
  • Shredder/Purge Gyro - One more Gyro in case you need another AoE superspeed quickness source. 20 second cooldown. Might not be needed for 100% uptime but it gives you some extra leeway. I like Shredder Gyro for the CC on toolbelt skill, but Purge could be good in fractals with high condi pressure. If you don't need the extra quickness source, you can always run Elixir Gun for more healing.

With that, it should be no problem getting 100% quickness uptime on a group of 5. So, why would you run this over a healbrand?

  • Higher healing capabilities
  • Much more generous range on quickness. Instead of the fiddly cone of Firebrand mantras, you have 360 size AoE circles from your gyros. That's much bigger than Chrono wells, basically the same size as Renegade's traited Orders from Above.
  • Great condi cleanse, which will shine on certain fractals like Siren's Reef or the condi instabilities. With Purity of Purpose you'd even convert those condis into boons.

One of the main downsides to running this over Healbrand is the lower fury/might uptime. This may be mitigated in raids with a Druid as the other healer, but I'm also interested in seeing a potential Boon Mirage build pop up to supply alacrity. Boon Mirage can easily provide 25 might to 10 players, and might be able to help with fury due to staff auto as well.

What do you think? Will this see play over Healbrand? Is Scrapper finally going to enter the spotlight in PvE for the first time since its launch?
