I stopped playing GW2 a few months after launch, and have only come back once to play with a few friends for a month. My main issue was that the class balance for most content was very imbalanced. I played ranger and I was generally considered a pretty bad pick at the time. Necromancers and Engineers were also. I'm not so much interested if Ranger is good now, but are classes more balanced, leaving you the ability to play what you enjoy? Are weapon better balanced also? I played all the classes and weapons in beta, but I came to really like the greatsword ranger, but it was really bad compared to the other options, and was beaten by other classes in the few places it could shine.
My main interest in any MMO is the PvE content, but every run I would see was either cheesing the mechanics for speed runs, mass wipes, or just spamming keys with no actual strategy. Has this improved or is PvE still similar? Is there actually end game PvE now, raids or anything similar?
