Since the world is so unpopulated right now, can we please stop having Champion mobs in events?

I'm just now pushing level 37 and I haven't seen another player in nearly the last 4 hours of running around trying to get some map completions. And yet, on a single map (had to run from one end to the other and I didn't feel like burning cash) I can across three events. Great! I need them for my dailies. Only all three were champions. No hope of being able to solo them. One of them I pulled back to where a large group of NPCs were... no luck.
So basically we're screwed. Any ideas?
