As I'm sure you're all aware we've had our fair share of land disputes. Our most recent ones have been because the cities joining our glorious Empire don't actually exercise sovereignty over the land they claim.

This has gotten us in trouble and the subreddit pvp war of attrition hardly ever goes in our favour. Enough is enough. From this day forward, any city attempting to join Grundeswald will have to meet a few requirements.

First and foremost, you actually have to own the city you're trying to get us to annex. This should probably go without saying, but I still have to put it in here because people seem to think we're going to support them in absurd military ventures. We aren't known for our willingness to storm the beaches to defend an island that's nowhere near us. We aren't going to rob a nation of its territory so that we can get more. Except the LSIF.

Secondly, it's definitely preferred that you have the consent of the people who actually live in the relevant territory. No one wants a city full of people who don't want to be there. That's how civil wars start. We're about like-minded individuals here. Dissent means something is being done wrong.

Thirdly, in the situation that you are indeed sovereign but you are being oppressed/are in a conflict by/with a foreign entity, we are certainly willing to annex you and even give you land within Grundeswald proper. We will not, however, help you solve your conflicts prior to annexation for you. That doesn't even make sense.

I hope that these three points are easy enough for any interested cities to join the Empire. To make things easier, I've made this into a few concise points:

If you want to join Grundeswald, do the following:

• Prove you own the place you want annexed
• Have majority approval of your citizens for annexation
• If you are within chat range of another nation, they must agree with your annexation by Grundeswald.
• Don't bring your political baggage here.
